Grand Knights Report MARCH
- I will do my very best to make this short, as we have the Pasta Knight 150 to talk about at this meeting. SATURDAY is the Regional Free Throw Championship @ Melrose Park Civic Center, 1000 N 25th Ave, Melrose Park. ALL of the winners from the 1628 Championship have advanced to the Region 4 Contest. Come out and support our kids. Competition is scheduled to start at 9am. I plan to go to support our kids.

- I want to encourage EVERYONE to volunteer to lead a program, or at least participate. Our web page kofc1628.org is active and we are adding content as we can. Right now, the calendar function is accurate and lists our activities that are planned through Christmas. I encourage everyone to visit this often. I also plan to start posting agendas and GK Reports to the website, along with any necessary paperwork and/or event flyers as we figure this out.
- The Knights of Columbus has a Defund Planned Parenthood protest effort scheduled for 4/2. If you would like to participate, let me know and I will connect you. All the signage, permits, rules, and talking points are already assembled for you.
- Check our new website calendar for upcoming events and opportunities to volunteer @ kofc1628.org
Housekeeping
Transactions
- There were no additional donations made this month or extraordinary expenses. I have put together a preliminary budget that I will present to the Officers and then to the council that will cover most of our regular expenses and donations. This will speed up the meeting a little bit next fraternal year.
